Quilting Arts

Quilting Arts promises to bring a new, exciting look for quilting to television, with something for everyone who loves quilting.
Quilting Arts recognizes the changes in today’s quilting market with a greater focus on art and design. The show combines basic traditional quilt techniques every quilter needs to know, with contemporary art designs, free-motion stitching and embellishing techniques.

Host Patricia “Pokey” Bolton invites quilt artists into her studio each week to share their expertise.

Quilting Arts uplinks in the same time slot previously held by America Quilts creatively.

Series 500 is being offered in SD Wide Screen Base.

Every art quilter – beginner or expert will find inspiration and excitement in each weekly episode of Quilting Arts.

Host

Patricia “Pokey” Bolton
PATRICIA CHATHAM BOLTON (Editor-in-Chief) was introduced to embellished quilting and the related needle arts in 1998, and ever since she took her first stitch (a fly) and embroidered her first motif (a spider), she has been entangled in this hobby and doesn't envision herself free. Art quilting and mixed-media have, quite literally, taken over her life--so much so that she left her doctoral program and full-time teaching job to found Quilting Arts Magazine®, and later with her husband John, Cloth Paper Scissors® magazine. She and John live and work in Stow, Massachusetts.
